About Me
Pogo and I welcome you! Hi, my name is Julianne. I’m am first a child of God. He has gifted me with so much that failing to mention my love for his greatness and grace would be unthinkable. I’m also a wife and mother. My family is my pride and joy and I would do anything for them.
I suppose horses were in my blood since birth. I didn’t come into this world with a horse in the back yard. But according to my mom I’ve been obsessed with them from the moment I could draw and talk.
When I was in 4th grade my Mom and I got our first horse, Jack, and a 30-minute lesson. That was it for training until I was 25! I learned a lot from trial and error but looking back I know my horse didn’t get the right care. He had tons of love and we had all the right intentions. We just didn’t know!
That’s what has inspired this blog. For years I’ve been thinking of how much I’ve learned and how I came across that information. The world wide web was not a thing when I was young. But now sharing knowledge is so much easier. As a parent I can’t count how many times my reply has been, “I don’t know, why don’t you look it up?” So here we are on this adventure. My goal is to share what I have already learned but to also continue learning and researching and then sharing that knowledge with my readers.
I am so glad you found your way to my site. I hope you find a nugget of information that benefits both you and your horse here.

PS – Pogo is an 11 hand rescue pony I got from SAFE (Save a Forgotten Equine horse rescue) who has no idea he isn’t 17 Hands tall. My dream is to train him to cart one of these summers. I promise that will be a blog page all to itself since I have no idea how to cart and he might have his own opinion about the whole thing!
